Job Description – Site Manager Job Purpose The Site Manager is responsible for leading and managing all site construction and project execution activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in compliance with approved drawings, quality standards, contractual requirements, and client expectations. The role oversees site operations, resource utilization, subcontractor performance, and coordination among stakeholders to achieve successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities 1. Site Operations Management Lead and supervise day-to-day site construction activities. Ensure execution is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules. Monitor work progress to achieve project milestones within the planned timeline. Ensure site activities comply with company procedures and project requirements. 2. Project Coordination Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Consultants, Clients, and Subcontractors for smooth project execution. Conduct regular coordination meetings to review progress, resolve issues, and align project activities. Ensure timely communication of site updates, technical changes, and project requirements. 3. Resource & Workforce Management Plan and optimize the utilization of manpower, equipment, and construction materials. Supervise subcontractors and ensure work productivity meets project expectations. Monitor resource availability and coordinate with Procurement and Logistics teams to prevent delays. 4. Progress Monitoring & Reporting Track daily, weekly, and monthly project progress against the approved schedule. Identify risks, delays, and potential bottlenecks and implement mitigation plans. Prepare and submit progress reports, productivity reports, and site updates to project management. 5. Quality, Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures, project specifications, and client standards. Enforce Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies and promote a strong safety culture. Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety regulations. 6. Problem Solving & Site Control Resolve operational, technical, and construction-related issues in a timely manner. Implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize project disruptions. Escalate critical issues that may impact project cost, quality, schedule, or safety. Job Requirements Education Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline. Experience Minimum 6 years of experience in construction or project site management. Experience managing large-scale industrial, commercial, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or data center projects is preferred. Proven experience supervising subcontractors, site teams, and construction activities. Technical Competencies Strong knowledge of construction execution methodologies. Project scheduling and site coordination. Resource planning and manpower management. QA/QC standards and construction quality control. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) compliance. Construction documentation and reporting. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Behavioral Competencies Leadership and team management. Allocate manpower, equipment, and construction resources. Coordinate subcontractor activities and work sequencing. Recommend corrective actions for project deviations. Stop or suspend work that poses safety, quality, or compliance risks. Escalate major technical or commercial issues to the Project Manager. Key Challenges Managing multiple construction activities simultaneously while maintaining project schedules. Balancing cost, quality, safety, and productivity targets. Coordinating multiple subcontractors and stakeholders. Managing resource constraints and unforeseen site conditions. Maintaining client satisfaction while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and company standards.
